SUGAR RUSH!
Wow... the last couple of days have been both a whirlwind and a nice, relaxed, low-stress holiday.
I came downstairs on the morning of Thanksgiving to discover that my wife had already been up for several hours. She had been working in the kitchen to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner. I wanted to help out, so I asked what I could do; she said, "It's already all done."
My jaw dropped!
"Mashed Potatoes?"
"Already boiling."
"Turkey?"
"In the oven."
"Stuffing?"
"Already done."
"Who are you and what have you done with my wife?!"
Seriously, folks--she was amazing. The dinner was delicious, and we have some excellent leftover turkey and "fixin's" in the fridge. We also had pumpkin pie.
I discovered later that day that she had written an entire blog post mostly about *me*. I was very humbled and honored. What can I say? I am truly grateful to have Kimberly as my eternal companion. She loves and gives, and I know that she wants me to be happy.
I honestly don't know what I would do without her--she's become my PR representative. I'm somewhat of a hermit, at least socially. Given my own choice, I would prefer to stick to a small group of close friends or just spend time alone, and not really care what happens out in the neighborhood or community. Kimberly, on the other hand, is a social butterfly, and she really helps me to get to know (and heck, even make friends with) the people that live out their lives not more than 100 yards away from mine.
Yesterday, we had... pie. And pie. And more pie. I like pie. :) Kimberly made yet another pumpkin pie, an apple pie, and a (surprise!) cherry cheesecake. We allowed the boys to have pie for breakfast, and they loved it! Jeffrey asked me this morning if he could have pie for breakfast again... sorry buddy, only on very rare occasions.
Oh, yeah, I guess it was sort of because I kinda turned 35 yesterday.

Sorry, I know I'm a nerd. Anyway happy birthday. You are now the product of two primes for your third year. This is the first time you get to be a product of two primes for three years in a row. And you'll be retired before it happens again.
