My Wife and I

I just saw this picture on my kitty's blog--this is a date we had earlier this month, when we went bowling.

We haven't been on an actual 'get out of the house and go do something' kind of date for months. I'm afraid the two of us are home-bodies; we'd much rather just stay in and do fun things at home than go out and spend money. However, this was a really fun experience for both of us, and I think we ought to do actual 'go-out' dates more often.

IronTiger and I enjoy staying home and playing a card/board game or watching a netflix movie. He was always a homebody and I've certainly tuned down my desire for being out and about. Also a lot of "date" stuff is not conductive to talking and bonding and is very expensive while we are in no way financially well off. But we do enjoy things like occasional bowling. We went last weekend and played arcade games (get tickets to turn in for trinkets), air hockey and bowling and had a lot of fun. I plan to work that in again soon, it's nice to occasionally get out for a rare treat.

I'm the same way. :) *huggles you* I'd much rather stay home and watch a movie myself. Going out is tricky process, especially for you. You have to get a babysitter and pick a place and go and do something... But every once in a while, a change of scenery is nice.

I know you've said you've never lied to your wife, but did that include springing surprises on her? :)

heh... with surprises, I really try to hide it by talking about other things & such, but if she asks me directly, I won't lie to her.

"Are we going out to dinner for our anniversary?"

"ummm.... "
